System Supervisors

In Osprey it is possible to set different levels of access for users. These are known as access templates and will be linked to one or a number of users in the Osprey system. In this guide, we will look at setting these templates up.

We have also produced a short video if you prefer to watch these steps.

Step 1


Select the Supervisor area and then go to System Setup.

Select Users, then Access Templates.

You will now see a full list of all of your access templates available on the system.

By default, you will have the following:

Supervisor

Case Worker

Accounts

Guest

From here you may edit the existing templates or add a new one.

Step 2


Click on the ‘New’ button at the top of the screen to open up the Add Access Template screen.

Give the template a meaningful name, for example, Case Worker + Accounts. You can choose here whether to base the template on one that is already in use. To do this, tick the Copy Template box and choose the template that is most like the one you want to create from the drop-down list. Then click the Save button.

Step 3


Your template will now appear in the list. Click the Edit button alongside the new template that you’ve just created

The next screen will display a list of the areas of Osprey on one side and a series of check boxes on the other.

To expand the list, select the chevron to the far left of the relevant area. This will now show other areas within that heading which can be ticked or unticked as necessary.

Step 4


To enable or disable an entire area for an access template, untick the relevant box next to the heading.

Select each of the areas in turn to choose which actions the users linked to this template will be permitted to perform.

Once finished, ensure that you click ‘Save’.
